Braces are used to correct alignment issues for your child's teeth by applying steady pressure, which will shift them into a much straighter and fixed position.  Most kids tend to just need braces with brackets, wires and rubber bands worn at home to correct bite problems.  The wire size is increased over the months of treatment, and the elastics are replaced at each appointment to gradually straighten your child's teeth.  The elastic ties come in many fun colors from which your child can pick at each appointment. Once treatment has begun, your child will need to visit Rockwood Orthodontics every few weeks for check-ups and adjustments.
